D.A Increase -

Consumer Price Index ( Industrial workers ) for the month of November 2011 increased by one point and stood at 199. Hence, the IDA from 1.1.2012 will be 56.7%, i.e., an increase of 4.7%. For pensioners whose pension is yet to be revised consequent on implementation of 2nd PRC, the increase will be 8%

NE 12 Approved by BSNL Board

 இன்று நடந்த (23/12/2011) BSNL போர்டு 
மீட்டிங்கில் NE-12 சம்பள விகிதத்திற்கு    
ஒப்புதல் அளிக்கப் பட்டுள்ளது. DOT -ன் ஒப்புதல் 
கிடைத்தபின் அமுலாக்கப்படும்

Nothing to cheer about:

      Atlast NE-12 pay scale has been approved by the management on 23/12/2011 but for its implementation one has to wait till the DOT approves the same. The irony is the date of effect will be the date of issue of such order. When people are waiting for this NE-12 scale since 2004 in all probability the said scale will be effected only in 2012. In the meantime many of the senior comrades might have retired without getting the benefit of NE-12 scale. There is nothing to cheer about this NE-12 scale as the recognized union does.

Provision of another option to Non executives to switch over to revised IDA scales of pay from the date of first promotion between 1.1.2007 and 7.5.2010 on revision of IDA scales of pay w.e.f. 01.01.2007. Letter No. 1-37/2011-PAT(BSNL) Dated 22.12.2011

 1.       17-12-2011 : Creation of NE12 Scale in NEPP:- In course of discussions the management has told the    NFTE that creation of NE 12 scale will be prospective and not retrospective after approval by BSNL Board.The employees will thuse undergo financial loss. 


2.        17-12-2011 : JAO LICE:- The BSNL corporate office is not agreeable and Inclined to grant relaxation in the last JAO examination. It is contemplating to hold another LICE for JAO.

 “We are confident that losses will be maintained at Rs 6,000 crore or less this financial year,” said Mr Rakesh K. Upadhyay, Chairman and Managing Director, BSNL. BSNL incurred a loss of Rs 6,000 crore in 2010-11.

However, we appeal to all comrades not to participate in any activity of intimidation, threat and coercion. Ensure no damage or sabotage is done to system. Keep in mind BSNL is our bread earner.
